Caregivers Support Group
A safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with Alzheimer’s or Dementia to meet and develop a mutual support system. The mission? To provide an open forum for compassionate people, united by mutual need, to help and support each other through a difficult and trying experience.

Lunch and Learn Series
Join Humana Health as they provide important information to help you stay in touch with your health and new age technology. The Chronic Conditions topic will touch on things such as diabetes and heart disease while the Technology topic will provide tips and tricks for using smartphones and computers. Lunch graciously provided by Gorilla Netting (see a flier for specific lunch details) Limited seating is available with pre-registration. Blood Pressure Checks
When you can’t see it or feel it, you need to check it! Palm Harbor Fire and Rescue will be at the Centre monthly (barring any medical emergencies that would need their attention) on select Thursdays. Best self-care you can do-stop in and get your blood checked for FREE!

A MAtter of Balance:
Fall Prevention Class
Many older adults experience concerns about falling and therefore restrict their activities. We have good news! Falls are preventable. This evidence based class is designed to reduce falls and increase activity levels. It’s FREE and open to those age 60 and over. Pre-registration is required for this class by contacting Terri Tone at the Area Agency on Aging. 727.570.9696 x160.

Laughter Wellness
Did you know children laugh over 300 times a day but as adults we only laugh 30? Studies indicate that laughter may have beneficial effects to your cardiovascular health and mood. Laughter wellness is a practice involving prolonged voluntary laughter. Join us monthly and experience this hysterical experience that heightens your awareness of the therapeutic and restorative values of laughter.
